MAPFRE is a global insurer with a presence in 49 countries across five continents. It is the leader in the Spanish insurance market, the first multinational insurance group in Latin America, and one of the top 10 European groups in terms of premium volume.

Quality and testing activities were performed for various systems within the organization, including TronWeb, a core system that addresses business requirements, and the Intermediary Portal, a web solution where agents manage their client portfolio.

Scope

MAPFRE has over 38,000 employees and more than 28 million customers worldwide. MAPFRE established its presence in Uruguay in 1995, becoming the first foreign private insurer to obtain permission to operate in the country after the insurance market was opened up.

QAlified provides testing services with the aim of improving the quality of the systems used in business operations, whether it’s for new functionalities or as part of their evolutionary maintenance.

Testing activities were carried out, including test planning, test case specification, execution, issue reporting, and retesting of corrections.

One of the main initiatives was the migration of life insurance policies from the AS/400 environment to TronWeb.

Additionally, verifications were performed on policy transfers and new businesses within TronWeb, and tests were conducted to support the evolutionary maintenance of both TronWeb and the Intermediary Portal.

Different types of testing were conducted, such as migration testing, manual functional testing, and service testing (API testing). Furthermore, performance testing was carried out on the Intermediary Portal.
