NameCoach is a software platform that provides pronunciation and name presentation tools to enhance the user experience in online or in-person communication, especially in academic and business environments.
NameCoach provides recordings of different pronunciations of names and surnames through a plugin that can be installed in various tools. It also offers the ability to record a name if it doesn’t already exist, search for a specific pronunciation, or recall one of the provided recordings for a particular name.
Scope
QAlified performed various types of tests on the platform across multiple versions of Windows and Mac operating systems, installing the plugin in Salesforce, Outlook (web and desktop versions), and Google Chrome.
For functional and usability tests on the Outlook web plugin, compatibility between different browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge was also considered. Some of these tests were conducted in crowdtesting mode, involving more than 10 testers executing the test suite provided by the client.
Additionally, load tests were performed on the Google Chrome plugin using a JMeter script that simulated real traffic from over 800 users per hour.
