CINTEPA is a major savings and credit cooperative with more than 42,000 users and 12 branches in different departments within Uruguay. Since 1977, they have offered excellent financial services, addressing their members’ social and economic needs.
The main aim of the project was to release a mobile application for both iOS and Android. The solution allows users to create credit simulations with different installment plans and to check current loans, along with any other important information for their members.
Scope
QAlified’s role within the project included different testing activities which contributed towards the quality of the definitive solution.
Definition of tests designed for mobile devices, which were later executed in iOS and Android real devices. The most widely used devices and their features were analyzed with the objective of selecting a representative group of devices and operative system versions, which were later used to execute tests.
In order to validate the solution comprehensively, a hybrid testing approach was applied aimed at a set of structural tests, complementing them with exploratory tests.
To design the tests, techniques for equivalence class partitioning and boundary values were used.
The exploratory tests were carried out using a testing approach that considered all business flows, taking into account end user actions and the necessary interactions with the operator from the solution’s back-end.
